Saturday, August 11, 2018 - 11:30

Music has a way of speaking to your soul. Whether you get joy from the words you hear, the unique way of a beat or the combination of both it hold the natural ability to take us out of our world or worries. Whether you enjoy 40’s Jazz or modern Pop music, there’s a genre for everyone.

Aspire to sing in the shower at the top of your lungs without a care in the world when your home along. Feel silly driving down the road moving your shoulders and grooving to a funky tune...no worries about who’s watching...Just smile. We all have a bit of healthy craziness in us. I beg you, let it out. You’ll feel so much better tomorrow. *wink*

Thought for the Day:

You can not know what someone else is going through until you truly open your ears.

Put a Smile on Your Face

Wednesday, August 8, 2018 - 06:00

Thought for the Day:

The average human burns more calories smiling versus frowning.

Everyone’s day will be better when you smile through the hard times, it’s inevitable. Someone may try to ruin your day but there’ll be three more who you rub off on...who rub off on you. Your day is worth being a worthy one to smile.

(Video) Doing Your Part in Spreading the Love

Tuesday, December 15, 2015 - 07:00

Thought for the Day:

You never know who is watching when you do a good deed, even if nobody is...do it anyway.

There are a lot of people going through really hard times who would love nothing more than for someone to care about their circumstance; even if just to listen and hear them speak. This video is a great display of the kindness that lies inside of us, because most of us mean well...we just run into difficult times.

God bless him

(Video) The Kind of Love You Wish For

Monday, December 14, 2015 - 07:00

Thought for the Day:

Love isn’t forced, it is something that is hard to explain but always has an explanation.

Love comes in all shapes and sizes. Some people hold their kids highly, others their spouse and some their parents. The kind of love displayed here is earned with love and patience. Enjoy

Your Role as a Role Model

Sunday, December 13, 2015 - 07:00

Thought for the Day:

Sometimes you just need to look at the picture a little closer, other times you may need to step back.

Each and every person becomes an example to someone in their lives, each of our examples play a role in the development of a persons life. Of course there are those in life who try to be the best person they can possibly be; they don’t use foul language, they say please and never pass gas in public. They are the people that stand tall and know who they are and are proud of it. But there are also other kids of role models that play a good part in a persons life.

  • Being a stickler (being strict) on ethics.
  • Having a passion (to the point of being mistaken as an addiction).
  • Being a good story teller

and many more.

One might look at this list and say...how in the world do you consider these people to be role models, let me explain.

The stickler will instill rules and structure into a person life, they can teach a person to have a strong work ethic and how to stand up for themselves when times get rough.
The person with an addictive passion can teach someone how to follow-through on things they start. They can also teach patience and how to do things step by step instead of halfway.
A good storyteller seems unimportant but they’re not. These are the people who give passion to us...they make us want to have our own amazing stories to tell and keep us looking for opportunities to create the story of our life.

Don’t take someone for granted because you don’t understand the role they play. Sometimes you have to dig deeper to really understand how someone effects another’s life.

Every role model has a chance of messing it all up but that is a lesson all in itself; nobody is perfect. Love and care for each other and appreciate the role they play in your and others lives around you.

(Challenge) The Things We Love and People We Use

Friday, December 11, 2015 - 07:00

Thought for the Day:

People are created to love and be loved. Things are created to be used. The reason the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.

I’d like to take a moment to Stop and take in the quote above. It’s hard to comprehend how much truth surrounds this that proves it to be true.

Our mothers gave birth to us, with love in their hearts; they only ever wanted what is best for us.

Around the world technology continues advancing with the latest new phone designs and software to keep us entertained.

Both are wonderful things and the first time you see one your eyes light up. The problem is that we put more value on the things we use everyday instead of the people in our lives everyday. So, I challenge everyone reading this to take at least one day out of the month to put away your technology and open your eyes and ears to the people around you. Your willingness to do something so simple will open your eyes to a different world.

Thought for the Day:

If you never start you can’t fail but if you never start you can’t even say you tried. Try; and give it your all.

TJOP: The Journey of Purpose is a powerfully spoken video that makes you want to listen and share the message. I encourage you to listen with open ears and think about what steps you can take. While we may not all have been made for extraordinary things, we all have a purpose and abilities that can be utilized. First you have to try.

Thought for the Day:

Enjoy the simple things and don’t dwell too much on things you can’t change.

It’s not very often you come across one. I thought you’s enjoy an adorable hippopotamus in your very near future. Do something goofy to make someone smile today, it’s a good prescription to keeping a healthy heart.

A Single Mom's Struggles Inspiration

Tuesday, December 8, 2015 - 07:00

Thought for the Day:

Some of the best people you meet have seen some of the biggest hardships.

The perception of the eye is always different depending on who you’re asking. Everyone has a choice on how to react to the situations around them.

Here’s a common life example:

Rebecca fell in love and got married years ago and now has 3 beautiful children she is raising on her own. In order to provide her family with a good life she works 2 part-time jobs, full-time hours are hard to come by where she lives. Rebecca is the kind of Mom that wants to come home from work and do nothing but spend time with her kids. However, clothes are dirty, dinner needs to be made and dishes need to be done. In her eyes her life seems to be in a disarray. Rebecca feels guilty that she doesn’t get to spend more time with her kids, guilty that she seems to be punishing the kids more than she plays with them, guilty because she can’t afford to take them out to a nice meal at a sit-down restaurant or buy them the latest technology. From her inside point of view Rebecca feels like she is failing her kids and she is fed up with the life she leads and wants something better for her kids.

It’s easy to sympathize with a circumstance like this. But, let’s step out of Rebecca’s shoes for a minute so we can see a larger picture. From the outside I see a woman who is working hard to provide for 3 kids alone. You can see by watching her how much she loves her kids, and finds it important for them to have clean clothes, warm food in their tummies and be well-behaved. She has her priorities straight and isn’t wasteful with her finances. From the outside you can hear people saying, “Wow, Rebecca is a great Mom, I don’t know how she does it.”.

Who you are when nobody is watching (or when you don’t care who’s watching) is what truly defines you. There are so many single moms and dads out there trying their best to give their families a good life.

In reality, the people that struggle the most have more appreciation for the things they earn. Which can be re-illiterated as: Some of the best people you meet have seen some of the biggest hardships.

While Rebecca is strong and independent she is also weak, she doesn’t see that her kids are learning about life through her..the things that are truly important. On the other side of the street there is a mother with 3 kids who goes out and drinks every weekend to drown out her problems.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.
It's not what you do, it's how you do it
It's not what you see, it's how you look at it.
It's not how your life is, it's how you live it.
